I just sat down for the first time since I woke this morning. I felt like I was going in circles. Acting a bit manic by flitting from one job to the next. I got a bit of adrenaline rush and started finishing all the little jobs that needed to be done. I was actually like a crazy woman doing more than one project at a time. After hours of organising and making phone calls, I heard a nice, confident voice say, “1 Kings 19:12 … ‘after the fire came a gentle whisper’; you’re getting a bit crazy and out of breath, come sit with me for a while.” So, I did.
I sat with him and reflected on who he is. He is great, he is strong, he is forever, he is able, he is kind, he is my friend. He is all powerful, he is enough, he is patient, he is big so much bigger than anything I face or feel may be my demise. He is everything.
Sit with him for a while.
